Having been brought up in a completely manufactured landscape in Scotland's new town East Kilbride currently undergoing a plan for regeneration after a slow decline since 1947 when the town was erected (the regeneration is unknown to many including the main protagonist in this video for DDW). The research seeks relations to the Nieuwe West site through considering what it means to live in a space completely altered. As part of a collective Asteriks founded in 2022 I was asked to contribute an artistic research project in response to the theme of regeneration. This project found its footing when displayed next to the Municpality of Eindhovens futuristic models and plan for the regeneration of the city. The work looks to archives and historical city plans that exclude and compairs them to that of the present day technologicaly driven plans currently being considered. It asks the local community for their opinions and challanges the municipality to question if they are really considering those who occupy these spaces when creating masterplans for the future inhabitants.
